BANKSTOWN BITES BOASTS SMORGASBOARD OF CUISINES

Hand-made noodles, fluffy dumplings, slow cooked curries, authentic paellas and scrumptious loukoumades are just some of the tantalising dishes on offer at one of Sydney’s most beloved food festivals, Bankstown Bites, next month.
On Saturday 29 July from 10am-4pm, Bankstown’s Olympic Parade will be transformed into a foodie’s paradise with dozens of food stalls, food tours, live entertainment, a cake decorating competition and cooking demonstrations.
Bankstown has been described as a melting pot of international cuisine… and Bankstown Bites provides the perfect opportunity to “Taste the World”.
Indulge in fine cuisine from a huge variety of food stalls; Maltese, Greek, Filipino, Indian, Turkish, Asian, Japanese, Mexican, Spanish, Portuguese, Egyptian, Italian and Thai…just to name a few!
To coincide with the food festival, there’ll also be a range of fantastic activities at the Bankstown Arts Centre.
Join Diana Chan, television host, cook and winner of MasterChef 2017 and fan favourites Arrnott and Fuzz, from My Kitchen Rules 2022, as they cook up a storm on the main stage.
The popular Bites Food Tours will also return this year, where groups will be escorted around Bankstown to receive samples from the best food joints in town. Bookings will be available online soon.
Other activities include free face painting, “kids in the kitchen” activities for youngsters, roving entertainers, performances by TAP (Talent Advancement Program) students, and much more!
Canterbury-Bankstown Mayor Bilal El-Hayek said Bankstown Bites had always been a significant event on every food lover’s calendar.
“I’m looking forward to welcoming thousands of festival-goers to Bankstown Bites – with the street party atmosphere and fantastic array of cuisines our City is famous for,” Mayor El-Hayek said.
“We can’t wait to kick things off from 10am on Saturday 29 July, when people will come from across the state to celebrate everything that’s great about Bankstown.”
