With the rise of scams, it is crucial that Australians remain vigilant and act quickly if they think they have been scammed.
To assist residents in Werriwa, the Member for Werriwa, Ms Anne Stanley MP will be hosting a Community Forum on scams with The Hon Stephen Jones, Assistant Treasurer
and Minister for Financial Services.
The forum will be an opportunity for people to learn ways to protect themselves from scams, know what to do if they are targeted by a scam, and hear about the steps the government is
taking to crackdown on this crime.
The details of the forum are as follows:
Date: Thursday 22 February 2024
Time: 10:00am – 11:30am
Venue: Liverpool Catholic Club
If you are unable to attend but are concerned about scams, my office has copies of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s ‘The Little Black Book of Scams’
