FREE INFO SESSIONS TO HELP PENSIONERS CUT COSTS

City of Canterbury Bankstown is hosting information sessions this October to help community members cope with the cost of living crisis.

The free Savings Finder Information Sessions will be held at Canterbury-Bankstown libraries and are aimed helping people living on aged pensions navigate the NSW Government Savings Finder website.

During each session, a specialist from Service NSW will provide information about how to use the website to save money on items including energy and utilities, public transport, health, recreation and home and other services.

Canterbury-Bankstown Mayor Bilal El-Hayek encouraged local seniors to book in and attend one of the free sessions.

“The increasing cost of living is affecting all Australians, and the Canterbury-Bankstown community is no different,” Mayor El-Hayek said.

“Prices are rising due to inflation, and many people are struggling.

“These workshops aim to help some of our most vulnerable residents stretch their incomes as far as possible during these difficult times.”
